Al Fatihah in English

PREAMBLE

(PEMBUKA)

Audzubillah himinassyaitho nirrajim

May God protect us from occursed satan

                                         

1.    Bismillāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

In the name of Allah the beneficent the merciful

2.    Al ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi l-'ālamīn

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the world

3.    Ar raḥmāni r-raḥīm

The beneficent the merciful

4.    Māliki yawmi d-dīn

Master of the day of requital

5.    Iyyāka na'budu wa iyyāka nasta'īn

Thee do we serve and thee do we beseech for help

6.    Ihdinā ṣ-ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm

Guide us to the right path

7.    Ṣirāṭ al-laḏīna an'amta 'alayhim ġayril maġḍūbi 'alayhim walāḍ ḍāllīn

The path of those upon whom the hast  bestowed favours, nor those upon whom wrath is brought down, nor those whose go astray
